Default Correction Politically Correct Seasonal Humor

Kevin,

I appreciate you trying to understand the importance of honoring an author's
intellectual property. That is a step in the right direction. The
difference between you cut and pasting a news article and JimH cut and
pasting a joke, is the news article you have cut and pasted have been
protected by a copyright by the author and the publisher of the article.
The joke has not been credited to any author. If you do a Google of the
joke, you will see it is republished 1000's of times, without crediting any
author. Now if "the author" had protected his work with a copyright, he
would be able to sue to either have the work removed from the web sites, or
for restitution from those who illegally republished his work.

This is a step in the right direction.

Visit this site for more info on this important matter.

Gee, that's odd. You forgot to chastise JimH for cutting and pasting an
article without giving formal credit to it's author.
