Lieberman gave a very positive view of Iraq.
Personally, I'm having a difficult time having any view of the situation
in Iraq. I mean, the BS is flying in all directions. It's damn
difficult
to wade through. I don't forgive Bush for getting us into this mess, but
feel we have a duty to continue, at least for the foreseeable future.
Does anyone know the answer to a few questions. Exactly how many Iraqis
are combat ready to fight the insurgents? The numbers I read are all
over
the board.
How about electricity, water and sewage? We've been in Iraq for 2 1/2
years. Yet, it is my understanding that we are not anywhere close to
having civilized conditions in Baghdad, let alone the rest of the
country.
If conditions are so positive in Iraq, why is the rate of American deaths
increasing, not decreasing? Why is there a mini-Tet going on as we
speak?

If Bush wants continued support, he'd better stop the rhetoric, and
show us the positives, no BS, just the facts.
The fact is that the number of deaths, injuries and other "incidents" in
Iraq is far higher than is being reported.
Source?
The fact is that much of Iraq is still without electricity and potable
water.
Source?
The fact is that Iraqi oil production is not enough to pay us for the war,
as Bush promised.
Source?
The fact is that more than 80% of those fighting us in Iraq are native
Iraqis, and they are fighting to get us the hell out of our country.
Source?
The fact is that an overwhelming majority of Iraqis surveyed want us out
of their country.
Source?
The fact is that Bush has released no measurable criteria that would
indicate when "victory" is achieved. It is his plan to remain there on a
permanent basis. even if he orders a modest troop drawdown.
