My friend has a 5 and 1 year old. The swim platform is fantastic for
them. It's also great for dinghy use. No reason not to have it.



My lovely CCA-style boat has a low freeboard alongside the cockpit. My 3
y.o. grandson can easily slip over the side into the dink. And we lift my 1
y.o. grandson in with ease. Swim platforms are for power boats and floating
docks. g

And for race boats that want a little extra waterline and for protecting
rudders that are proud of the stern. You can lift a 1 y.o. into
anything with ease. The sugar scoop stern (racer)aka swim platform
(cruiser) is here to stay. Kinda wish I had one.
