Bought one of these little dubbers for my truck today on a whim.
Neat little unit. Totally unqualified for boats though.
Which one did you get?
I remember a few years ago when these were first introduced - they got
killed by reviewers - they took the criticism to heart and now I
understand they have a great product.
Of course, it will take the State of Connecticut another year or so to
decide that these are a "distraction" and ban them from all vehicles
or from using them while driving.

I got the cheaper one - the "300". The only big difference that I can see
in the specs is that the higher priced model has a faster CPU.
I used to use a DeLorme Earthmate with a laptop in the motorhome when we had
it. I found the laptop to be clumsy and distracting to use. The Tom Tom is
pretty much set and forget. Garmin makes a similar unit at the same price
but Tom Tom actually has a few more user features.
One more trip to Florida starting the end of this week. Gonna close on the
house and tow the Scout back north.
