Seahawks 17, Boat Show 0 ??
Is it un-American not to root, with 100% conviction, for the hometown
football team?
It seems those perennial cellar-dwellers, the Seattle Seahawks, are
having a pretty decent season this year. 7-2 so far, and the "experts"
say the next 4 games are so easy the Hawks can just throw their jerseys
out on the field, go play poker in the locker room, and still win 3-0.
(I've got tickets to see the 12-24 game, when my son will be in town. I
really do hope they continue to play well.......)
But oh-oh. Come January our Seattle Boat Show is in jeopardy. It is
currently scheduled for Jan. 13-22, but if the Seahawks win their
division (and it would take some effort to lose it from this point on)
the venue, Qwest Field, will *not* be available for the first weekend
of the Boat Show. I'm not enough of a football fan to know whether a
Seahawk victory on the 15th would (or could) tie up the stadium on the
22nd as well...........
There's no real possibility to move the Boat Show back a few weeks, as
there are RV shows, Golf Shows, Home Shows, etc etc etc booked every
week all year long.
