Ground, dried Hominy corn. I actually like grits with lots of butter and
pepper. Hominy is corn that is soaked in lye to remove the husk and then
they look like popcorn. Hominy itself is nasty, but grits are a great
delivery system for butter and pepper. Served with biscuits and sausage.
