Hi,

My old boat has rotten sill plates (2x4's) at the bottom of the cabin walls.
In the early 1980's the boat had new wood deck installed and then covered in
fiberglass. If the rot is only the sill plate....I know what to do. The
boatyard is concerned that the rot will extend through the glass and
underlying wood. What is the cost effective way to manage the rot below the
sill plate?
