Default OT Alito a Judicial Activist

Thunder,
I agree with your position, it is up to the judicial branch to interpret the
laws and that is what the founding fathers expected from the judicial branch
of government. I think what OBE was trying to say (but it is hard to tell)
is the judicial branch should not be legislating laws from the bench.

My point, and you see it way to often in rec.boats, is whenever someone
disagree they call the other party a liar. If the person believes what he
is saying, it doesn't matter how stupid or incorrect the assumption is, he
is not a liar.

OBE,
Three points I would like to make. If thunder makes a mistake, but does
not realize it is a mistake, he is not a liar. Secondly, when you use
the
"F" word it does nothing to further your cause, it makes you sound
uneducated, and in your inability to chose the right word, you were
forced
to use the "F" word. Lastly, when you use profanity it makes you sound
like Kevin Noble and Harry. The last point alone is enough for me to
refrain from using profanity in my posts.

Except it wasn't a mistake. If OlBlueEyes had taken his own advice, and
read the Federalist Papers, he would know. Quote: "The interpretation of
the laws is the proper and peculiar province of the courts. " From:

As I said, a refresher course may be in order.

Start with the Federalist Papers.
