How's this for a terrorist alert -- the federal Department
of
Homeland
Security just awarded the Fairfield Fire Department a
$115,528
grant
for exercise equipment and the services of a nutritionist

Just think how many millions of taxpayer's dollars this act
has
cost
us! And what was gained by it? Crap like this, and a
childish
color

Fairfield where?
CA
Whose House District is Fairfield, CA?
Uh, what difference would that make? The bill is so full of holes,
that
it allows for this ****, and I suppose you think it's grand? The
Department of Homeland Security is Bush's folly.
Curiosity is all and it doesn't really make a difference, but it
seems
with all the hootin' and hollerin' I thought it might be useful to
know who is the Rep for that District.
So I looked it up.

A Democrat. And on the House Committee on Transportation and
Infrastructure. Interesting.
Oh, and here's her take on the Fairfield Fire Department.

How about that huh?
What you, JimH, and Fritz fail to note is WHAT political group came
up
with the Homeland Security Act, and all of it's pork filled holes?
No, you made fun of the Fairfleid Fire Departments grant and I
pointed out that it was fully supported by their Representative who,
oddly enough, serves on the very committee that oversees this kind of
thing.
You can't have it both ways.
I'll ask again. What party is responsible for the Homeland Security
Act, with all of it's pork loopholes?
Both.
Really? Someone from both parties initiated the bill????? Who were they?
Where does responsible mean initiated? Was the bill voted on party lines?
