Among Republicans, the President's Approval Rating is now at 78%. That's
an improvement from the low of 71% reached on the day Harriet Miers
withdrew from consideration as a Supreme Court nominee. Today's figures
are the first based entirely upon interviews conducted following the
withdrawal of Miers' nomination.

Bush Job Approval

Strongly Approve 22%
Somewhat Approve 22%
Somewhat Disapprove 15%
Strongly Disapprove 41%

Bush is up 7 points among Republicans, and 4 points overall since the
Miers withdrawal. And this is just 2 days after one of his
Administration officials was indicted for perjury and obstruction of
justice.

Overall, 56% of Americans Disapprove of the President's performance
including 41% strongly disapprove.

So then that's a 3 point favorable bump since you posted the numbers on
Friday, October 28th:

10/28: 44% strongly disapprove
10/30: 41% strongly disapprove

Since the election, Bush has never been below 38% in the "strongly
disapprove" category. Heck, he won the election by 3 million votes when his
"strongly disapprove" number was 38%.
