I see your point. But once anything is government regulated, you have
abuses. What would stop a government from saying you retire at 60, you die
at 75, here is the place where you go to die. We are doing this because our
retirement funds are declining.
The point is where there is no regulation abuse will be greater.
I know that the sheer legal possibility to "kill" makes a bad first
impression.
But be reassured. There is *NO* case of euthanasia if the patient
isn't completely sane when he/she asked for it him or herself.
If ever, you should be afraid when nothing is regulated and it becomes
common practice to give a bit more morfine to ease the pain.....
decided by individual elderly home-doctors without any legal
framework...
