Just like "wilderness" is a euphemism (back east) for land that has

some
natural features such as streams, trees, hillsides and doubles as

rental
property with houses, roads, cars and the like.

Out here in the west, wilderness means NEVER having a road, a

building,
timber cutting or the like. Out here people don't live in the
"wilderness"
areas

Does your "wilderness" include any "country estates"?

Another fun chuckle is the back east use of "high altitude" land.

Out
here
"high altitude"land is beyond the flight ceiling of some

recreational
aircraft and O2 is required for pilots. Yet people run, ski, climb

and
bike
at these western high altitudes. Easterners, such as pale Rusty

(anemia
prevents the full blossom of rust) would suffer collapse and endema

at
these
western altitudes.

Amen!

So you are a narrow idiot who only knows the world as far as the end
of his nose. We already knew that.

What was that about "early retirement"?

eh?

I guess you don't like it when your crap gets dumped back into your

own
lap
do you?

Does anemia also lead to "thin-skin"?

What the HELL are you on about?

Slow down there vegan man. You're not making any sense.

I never claimed my land in Vermont was a "wilderness".

Yes you did.

I have saved a few
thousand acres from being developed.

You have just delayed it unless you put it in a conservation easement.

I'm just one person doing the right thing.

That's your opinion.

If I hadn't spent all this effort and money, that area would now be

ripe
for
condos and walmarts. I could have made a lot of money by flipping it to

other
developers. I didn't.

Not yet. But being undeveloped it is worth more as the other land gets
developed, so you are profiting from development.

What have YOU done to preserve anything worth preserving?

I've purchased several mining claims along the Continental Divide and

sold
it back to the Department of the Interior. With the profits, I buy more
claims and sell them back. I've increased the holdings of the National
Forest System and reclaimed mines.

Buy a bumper sticker? Yeah, you are a real nature lover. There is a

special lava
lake with a sign over it that says "Bob Crantz"

I've got a very nice plaque from the Nature Conservancy and photocopies

of
big checks from the federal government.

I am not a vegetarian. I am not anemic.

Stop lying!

I retired early, but it wasn't the company's wish. It actually took me

three
attempts before it finally stuck.

Workaholic!

They kept asking what it would take for me to
stay, and the first two times I made some hefty demands, and they

completely
capitulated.

In other words, you were grossly underpaid for most of your career.

The third time, I really wanted out, and told them I was not
interested in staying under any circumstances.

So beholden to an employer! I bet you kissed ass.

As I said in my original post in
this thread, it is OFTEN the case that early retirement is due to the

company's
desire to dump you.

They didn't hold a gun to your head to make you stay did they?

Sorry to ruin your attempt!

I accomplished what I was after. Thank you!

Captain Joe Redcloud

Thank you, everybody, for tuning in to another episode of "Crantz

Unhinged".

Let's leave it to the audience to decide who is "unhinged".

What's your favorite vegetable?

Amen!
