On the 35s5
I guess you couldn't hear me over the noise from your floorboards,
Ronald.
Now, Joe...I'm not defending Donal in the least and certainly not
because I own a First series boat. I believe my boat to be superior in
build quality to his boat. BUT, it appears that Beneteau's built
overseas are quite a bit better than what's assembled here. Sad to say
that our later US Built Beneteaus have Lincoln-like quality. Not
terrible, but loose floorboards, weak fit and finish and sloppy
fittings are common. My two most local Beneteau dealers feel things got
decidedly worse by the late 90's. So much so that they've made numerous
complaints about it. So...do Donal's floor boards rattle? I don't know.
The ones on my 35s5 are fit with perfection. As my survey noted, "Teak
bulkheads, cabinets, drawers and cabin soul are very well crafted and
finely fit where sighted. Above average quality was noted on interior
furniture and fixtures."
