Wednesday October 26, 2005--Forty-one percent (41%) of American adults
approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President.
This is the lowest level recorded ever recorded by Rasmussen Reports.

Among Republicans, the President's Approval Rating has fallen to 73%,
matching the lowest level ever recorded.

For most of his time in office, the President's Approval Rating among
Republicans has been in the high-80s.

Overall, 59% of Americans Disapprove, including 44% who strongly
disapprove. That is the highest percentage to Strongly Disapprove of his
job performance.

Fifty-three percent (53%) of Americans now say that bringing the troops
home from Iraq is more important than finishing the mission in that
country. This is the first time that a majority of Americans have held
that view.

Just 33% give the President good or excellent ratings for his handling of
the situation in Iraq. Thirty-nine percent (39%) say the U.S. and its
allies are winning the War on Terrorism.

During 2004, reports on the President Job Approval were based upon surveys
of Likely Voters. Typically, a survey of Likely Voters would report a Job
Approval rating 2-3 points higher than a survey of all adults.

On Election Day, the President's Job Approval was at 52%. During all of
2004, the President's Job Approval ranged from a high of 57% in early
January to a low of 43% on August 17.

This is hilarious for any number of reasons.
Rasmussen is my least favorite poll, and has been for a long time, because
of its non-human methodology. But since NOYB told us last week that Bush
was on the rise in the Rasmussen poll...

That's the difference between you and me. I'll stick with Rasmussen's
numbers as being the most accurate of all of the pollsters...even if I don't
like them.

There is no doubt that the moveon.org campaign to send a constant barrage of
negative spin against the Republicans to the press has been working. But
when the Cheney/Plame and Tom Delay witchhunts are over, and everybody has
been exhonerated, Bush's numbers will rebound.
