I have a feeling that re-powers are more expensive, but factory
sweetheart deals for companies like Grady-White (and probably, certain
brands of Genmar, though I don't know for sure), who only offer
Yamaha, make initial purchases competitive.
Once they develop brand loyalty, they'll stick it to you.... at least
that is the conclusion I can too at re-power time.
Maybe its just me, but had more trouble dealing with a Yamaha service
rep (about five years ago) than I ever did with Merc or Bombadier.
Totally turned me off of Yamaha it was that unpleasant.
