I've been saying this to people for years and nobody wants to listen.

Now there's some research to help prove the point.

10-30% of the global warming caused by the SUN on data to 2002. The 11 year
cycle of the sun peaked in 2004 so that figure on current temps could be off
by (a non-professional guess) 30%, in other words, current temps of slightly
more than a degree increase could be 50% caused by the sun. In another 3
years if the temps stay flat or go down 20-30% we can get a better handle on
greenhouse warming data vs warming by the SUN.
