This newbie has a question - how to find the PROPer prop for my boat.
I dinged my prop last fall (fortunately at the end of the season) and

have
since had it repaired, but think that I should get a spare. With all of

the
options, (# of blades, pitch, etc. etc. etc) how to I get a plain old

ordinary
replacement one. By taking some number off of my boat motor?
This is for a 2000 Bayliner 1950 Capri with 3.0Liter MercCruiser I/O.

The prop size and pitch will be stamped somewhere on the hub of your
current prop. If not, then look in the owner's manual. If not there,
then ask a Bayliner rep.

Or, if you can't find it, ask the shop that repaired your prop - they should
be able to tell you what it is so you can get another one of the same. Might
even be able to recommend an alternative, based on performance you have vs.
what you want.
