Yeah, the automated robot callers Rasmussen uses (without really
qualifying those who answer the phone)

Qualifying? You mean verifying that the person is registered Democrat or
Independent?

Every other pollster undersamples Republicans...which is the main reason
why their numbers don't agree with Rasmussen.

Most legitimate public opinion polls conducted by phone or in person have
qualified personnel who *qualify* those who they call or ask before and
during the survey. The Rasmussen poll uses auto phone dialing machines and
recorded scripts, and therefore "it" has no idea who the person is on the
other end of the line.

Your premise that every other pollster "undersamples" Republicans is
bull****. Every effort is made by independent pollsters to assure an
honest representation.

That's crap. In 2004, they were sampling Democrats at a higher percentage
than Republicans. That's common knowledge, and not up for debate. The
debate was over what would be the breakdown percentage of Dems vs
Republicans in the 2004 election? The pollsters used post-polling data from
election 2000 to determine at what percentage the Democrats would make up
the electorate...and then extrapolated that figure to 2004 polling. date.

Since almost everybody but Rasmussen was wrong come election day, it proves
that they were oversampling Democrats in 2004 (just as I had told you prior
to the '04 election). I haven't read anywhere that the other pollsters have
changed their polling methods since then...so it's safe to say that they're
just repeating the error that they made just a year ago.

Regardless, Bush's approval rating stands at 47%...according to the most
accurate pollster in the last two Presidential elecions.
