Man, is that a blast or what?
I did the Richard Petty experience and I've done the modified tour
cars over at Thompson Speedway as birthday presents.
WAY back in the day, I got a chance to ride around Talledega Speedway
in a Superbird.
That, my friend, I'll never forget.
Oh, yeah - the A's suck too. :)
But they are my A's. Used to race a 64 Vette Stingray in SCCA B'
production. Laguna Seca, Sears Point, now Infinion Raceway, etc. A lot
cheaper to go rent a car for the 45 laps. Fairly quick cars. They are base
on Ford Courier frames, and motors with a 500cfm Holley on top. They get
the frames for nothing, and strip them to the rails, and build a cage and
cheap sheet metal body. Use the used tires from the Pro cars. Still plenty
of rubber, just not enough for a big V-8 powered car. And your sox suck
also.
