Silly question for the original poster, but what improvements or fixes were
included in version 2.480? I have a Matrix 37 that's at 2.02, but I'm not
keen on firmware upgrades on anything (motherboards, gps, etc) unless there
is some significant advantage. That and I keep forgeting to record my serial
number (required to download firmware) when I visit my boat

Contact the mfgr, or do a google search with this question, (click on the
Groups tab), you'll see there are several NGs that talk about GPS
receivers. Chances are good you're not the first person to do this...
