You mean that they held back a lot of donated funds, because there was
no obvious need for them in connection with Sept 11th and there *was* a
large need for them elsewhere? Yes, I remember that and I don't agree
100% with their actions.

I also remember that the Red Cross played a large part in publicity
unfavorable to the Bush Administration. And it seems to me that a lot of
very vocal people have a big gripe that Hillary & Kerry donated to the
Red Cross.

If you want to play at sticking pins into the Red Cross, better check
who ran it for years. Does the name "Dole" ring a bell?

Meanwhile, I'd much prefer to keep this discussion group focussed on
sailing & cruising. Please go back to your fascist buddies over at
rec.boats they miss your support.
