The sail is a 300 sq ft roller reefing genoa for cruising inshore. I've been
in Hasse's and they do make good sails but over $4000 for this sail is a
little steep for me! That's why I'm still looking.

You didn't say what type of sailing you're doing. You would want different
sails, and maybe different sail makers, if you were racing, or local
cruising, or heading off around the world.

If your choice is heading off around the world, then you can't do better
than Hasse & Company Port Townsend Sails. They're at
http://www.porttownsendsails.com/. They specialize in well-built cruising
sails.
