Doug,
My guess is the reason you didn't "hear" about it was because it was your
guy who was allowing the tax incentive. It has been a silly counter
productive tax incentive for many years before Bush became president. Now
that Bush has not overturned the tax incentive, it makes for good political
fodder.

If you really want to make improvements in our system, you need to be just
as critical when it is your guy in office.

I have no idea. I wasn't aware of the tax situation back then.

Doug,
Yes he should have. Now why didn't Clinton veto the tax write off when
he was in office. They both should be hung by their thumbs.

It's probably one of the few things driving sales of those vehicles.
Bush would be spanked by Detroit's lobbyists if he didn't veto a bill
which eliminated the tax incentive.

Paul,
One of the problems with Hummers is there is a tax incentive for small
businessmen to buy a Hummer for the tax write off. This should be
corrected.

Speaking of status symbols, I was just at the barber shop, browsing

Someone
ought to be shot for that. You *know* they're not going to bought by
bricklayers & carpenters who are gonna beat the crap out of them.
That
leaves.....well...you know who.

You've never taken your Cadillac Escalade offroading into the woods
and
swamps?
Why pay 22,000 for an F150 when you can pay 40,000 for the Lincoln
pickup?

In this case, we are in total agreement. But look at all the dumb
****s
that
bought Hummers. I wonder how many have ever left the pavement.

But it is THEIR choice.......I hope you don't prefer the guvmint
dictate
what they buy.
