I bought a Croakie float device for eyeglasses about a year ago. The
wings of the eyeglasses slip into the tubular ends of a 12" or so cord
that goes from wing to wing. There's a float midway down the cord. One
of the inserts for a wing has deteriorated. Any suggestions for
repairing it? Maybe it's time to unstitch the cord (it's sort of like a
cloth cord that has been rolled into a tube and sewn together), and see
what they actually use inside. Whatever it is it didn't hold up too well.
Wife to the rescue. It looked like some 2" cylinder was broken inside, but it
had just been pushed back. She adjusted it and all is well.
