Incorrect. Go back and study Archimede's Principle. When the volume of water
displaced by the hull equals the weight of the boat, the boat reaches
equilibrium (floats). A triangle (deep vee) would displace less water at
the apex than a rectangle for example. A deep vee would draft more than a
shallow vee.
