Ah, that was interesting.

I remember an discussion a while back about huge waves and one of the
discussion points was how the waves were measured - from Sea Level or
from the bottom of the trough.

Good to know that those of us who thought the correct way to measure
wave height was from the trough to the highest point are
correctomundo. :)

My Dad, and his fellow DE commanders when they all got together, swore
that he spent more time under water than on top of it when on WWII
convoy duty in the North Atlantic during storm season. They used to
joke about qualifying for a submariner's badge.
