repairs to the floor?


Most, eventually, if they've got wood under the fiberglass. Some sooner
rather than later, largely depending on A) initial quality of
construction and B) care in maintenance.

It doesn't seem like it should be too terribly hard to do.


It is fairly straightforward, but very time consuming and rather costly.
Been there, done that.


As for the transom, I'm honestly not sure exactly what part of the
boat is. Is that the flat aft section of the hull?

Am I to understand that it is entirely made of wood?


Encapsulated with fiberglass, yep. There are other types of cores, but I
believe that wood is by far the most common.
