About 4000 passengers got quite a surprise after boarding a cruise ship

around in shorts and t-shirts day after day. Maybe they'd rather be
bouncing around at sea in a Hurricane.

Well, let's turn it around and look at it the other way... locally,
the heat index has been around 110-115 degrees or more... 98 degrees
with 70% humidity.... UV index of 8+.... the low temperature is 81
degrees tonight.... and the water temperature is about 83 degrees...
which I suspect is close to 15 degrees above your high air temperature
for the day....

If you were accustomed to... and dressed for my weather..... and
forced into your weather.... suppose you'd be comfortable?

Gene, if you still work inside a machine shop or a manufacturing plants tool
and die shop I sympathize with you during this time of high
temperatures...as well as all the folks laboring outside. You are
definitely earning your pay.

We were sitting in an air conditioned conference room on Monday and someone
complained about how hot it was in the room....a whole air conditioned 75
degrees. I calmly pointed to the window where there was a group of
construction laborers and machine operators working in the 95 F temperatures
and heat index over 100F.

How bad we sometimes think we have it until we see what some folks have to
endure (hot and cold temperatures) to put food on the table for their
family.
