Victim cut by propellor


A Dow City, Iowa man has died after he was cut on the leg by a boat
propellor on a northwest Iowa lake.

Twenty-two-year-old Wesley Eugene Head fell off the back of a boat on Black
Hawk Lake in Sac County Friday evening.

Officials with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources say Head lost his
balance when the boat shifted into gear.

He was taken by helicopter to a Sac City hospital where he later died.

The investigation is continuing.
