I personally invite the USS Iowa to berth alongside the USS North
Carolina in the Cape Fear River in Wilmington, NC. In the 50's, we
school children collected money to save BB-55.

carrier (SS William Mather

docks for tours.

For a community to turn down a tired yet highly decorated warship (as an in
the water museum) is a real shame, especially considering the reasons they
offered. Iowa earned nine battle stars for World War II service and two
for Korean service.

Screw San Francisco.
