Good for Rick Dees......but I hope he did not spend all the millions he
made.
I have to admit I was into the disco scene for a while. The clubs, the
women, the nights..............
Those days will never be seen again.............thank goodness for our
kids. ;-)
BTW: I met with a customer today who makes simple hard-wood pallets
using automated pallet making machines (a guy feeds the machine with pre
cut hard wood, the machine sorts it, configures it and nails it to form a
pallet). His plant is in the Amish country and most of his labor is Amish
(excellent work ethics).
He started in 1995 with one pallet machine and now has 4, along with a
fleet (owned) of 9 tractors, 14 trailers and 5 manufacturing, warehouse
and office buildings. He is a now a multi-millionaire....all based on
making simple wood pallets.
More power to him also!
I made pallets by hand early in my high school years. They could not get
automated nailers that worked. Made great money, as we worked piece work
and could get some pallet models that took very little time to build. Hated
the damn oak ones!
