Still looking and thinking. This is interesting. With it being a tunnel
design couldn't you get even more shallow water clearance by going to a jet
outboard... yeah... loss of HP etc, but its a fair trade..

Also when you consider that you would build a boat like this for really
shallow water use. Tidal flats, but possibly also for rivers with sandbars
and humps. Wouldn't it make more sense if built out of aluminum instead of
wood? Or is the thought that you can repair dings with glass filled epoxy
putty more easily with it being made of glassed over wood?
