BOATING SAFETY RECALL NOTIFICATION
SEATTLE - A product recall has been initiated for the following
recreational boats manufactured by KEVCON Corp. sold under the brand
name 'Misty Harbor'.
1. Stealth 145C - Failed the floatation stability test. A total of
147 boats are suspect. These boats were produced between March, 2000
and July, 2004.
2. 1237 Jon - Failed floatation test, stability test, and level
floatation test. A total of 124 boats are suspect. These boats were
produced between November, 1996 and November, 2003.
3. 1437 Jon - Failed floatation test, stability test, and level
floatation test. A total of 141 boats are suspect. These boats were
produced between September, 1996 and July, 2004.
Boaters who own these vessels should be aware that these boats may be
easily prone to capsizing and in that event may not remain afloat.
If you own one of these boats please contact your dealer for more
information on how these deficiencies can be corrected.
