I don't think any of these 4 strokes are going tp last a real long time if they
run WOT all the time but I do have to admit my Honda (car) redlines at 7400RPM
and they usually redline an outboard at 6000.
I usually keep my Merc 4 stroke around 4000 or so. It just sounds better to me
.... but I felt the same way about my old 2 stroke and I got close to 3000 hrs
out of it.
It was still running when I sold it.
