Could be the kill switch not making contact.
Could be any one of a number of electrical parts.
Hopefully he does not get into part swaping but rather knows what he is
doing and has the equipment to verify parts are good or bad.
Will be at least one hour labor plus the trip cost. Minimum of $100 labor

As a follow up to my post, the local marina guys looked at the honda. They
say there is no spark to the engine. This was the message left on the
phone to me. Does this mean bad plugs or something else? Anyone know what
something like this will cost? An authorized Honda mechanic is coming, but
