Hi Frank: No, I have not been to Paris since 1998, but, as a Canadian, I am
welcomed anywhere in the world, even Cuba.
My last trip to France was in 2001, to the city of Nantes. I met some
Americans there and they were having a great time, no problems at all.

My father landed on Gold and was so happy to get ashore in one piece! His
landing craft was hit by enemy fire several times.
He told me that there was a small truck on the landing craft and he was
under it on the ride into the beach.

He is still around and is going to France on June 1'st to take part in the D
Day remembrances. He is being presented with a medal by the Normandy
Provincial Government.

I will give him your "Thanks"
