Sites preparing for River Sweep 2005

River Sweep 2005, the annual cleanup of the Ohio River, will be held in six
states Saturday morning.
The volunteer cleanup extends the length of the river - more than 900 miles -
from Pittsburgh to Cairo, Ill.
More than 22,000 volunteers participated in the event last year and picked up
more than 9,000 tons of trash.
The following are River Sweep 2005 locations for the Greater Cincinnati/Northern
Kentucky area:
Hamilton County (starting at 9 a.m.)
Fernbank Park, off River Road in Delhi Township
Riverside Park and Boat Ramp, off River Road, near Sedamsville
Schmidt Field and Boat Ramp, off Eastern Avenue, in the East End
