Hey Ed,

I was quick to join the Thank You because it was heartfelt. Honest mistake
but it had good intentions written all over it, and most of all, it came
from the heart. My grandfather and uncles (WW2) are probably chuckling in
their graves. I visit the memorials in DC whenever I'm in town. I was
there when they commemorated the Vietnam memorial in lower Manhattan on
Water Street. I've never mistaken Memorial Day with Veterans Day but
there's always a first time, eh? I'm having my sixth beer since your first
post. The Cap should have calmed down by now -- he's entitled to do what he
wants, he sure the hell fought for that right. Don't worry about it.

Sincerely,
Franko

I would like to appologize to anyone that I may have offended with my

post.
It was not meant to create all this disruption. I will not appolgize for
thanking the Vets on this day though. I will not respond to this subject

any
further.

Thanks
Ed

It gets my goat when a bunch of Johnny-Come-Lately ******s, who
don't have the brains or good sense to get their holidays straight,
come out of the woodwork acting like patriots or something.

They insult all the honored military dead with their stupidity and
their ignorance. They are too self-absorbed to take the time to
even know just a little about what they're talking about so they
continue to run their mouths and they continue to contribute
to the stupidity and liberalism that is ruining this country.

These are the very same people, mind you, who are crying on
the floor of the Senate and blubbering that other countries
in the world don't love us anymore yet they define the term,
"ugly American". Off with their heads, I say!

As much as it pains me...gotta vote with the Capt on this one.
Why, right here in our friendly little group, we have a poster who
spent
his time as a USMCReject..and didn't step a foot outside the US. His
service consisted of keeping an artillery piece nice & shiny. A
necessary job that someone had to do I'm sure...but to compare that
service with a hero who gave his life in combat???

Facilitating again, Don? Was there really a call to make this a
personal attack
on someone not even involved in the post? Aren't mr neal's attacks
enough?

Shut the **** up, John. You know damned well Don White is as much
a credit to his country as he is a credit to rational thought and this
group. Now, bugger off if you don't have anything sensible to say . . .

If you're a Vet, I'll give formal thanks on Veteran's Day but not
Memorial Day. Those who sacrificed far far more than you did deserve
ALL the credit on the day set aside to honor them. . .

I hope this helps.

CN

Don has no more reason to call someone a 'reject' than you have for
calling
someone an idiot, stupid, ignorant, or 'ugly American' (or any
combination
thereof). The same Constitution that the *vets* fought for gives me the
right to
express my disagreement with your name-calling.

So, I guess I didn't obey you very well. Maybe I don't find your "Capt"
title
all that impressive.

Psssst....John....walk away from this......let Neal continue to prove
himself the fool.

It is totally disgusting the way he managed to flush this honorable

thread
down the drain.
