Default World's fastest Bayliner?

Hey bill, I have had an idea along those lines myself. Add waterfoils to
underside of the hull to give the boat more lift at the center or stern.

I was planning to experiment with them after back surgery.

Growing up, my dad owned a large machine shop. He thought of adding foils
to our 23' Magnolia cutty. Just because.

I have a Bolger Skimmer (8 foot flat bottom looks like a swampboat
hull) which is designed with three 1 1/2" skis that run full length
along the flat bottom. The boat acutally gets up on these to some
extent creating a sort of tunnel effect like an old Whaler. When I
asked Payson if the boat could actually get up on those he reminded me
that people bare foot waterski on much less surface area (the boat
weighs about 80 lbs). Not really a hydorfoil I guess, but it gets the
job done. One timed run with an 8 horse and 230 lbs. me and equipment,
I covered a long course at 19 1/2 mph.
