Back in 81 while working for Pemex in the Bay of De Campeche (mexico)
we bent a 72" prop. Had to have one brought in from Texas. We had to
pay a 100% import tax of 28 grand. From then on... any of our boats
that went overseas carried 2 spare props and 2 spare shafts, 2 engine
heads, radio, gyro, and any other equipment valued at over 10K that
could fail.

Wouldn't it have been more efficient to fire you for wrecking the prop, and
hiring someone competent in your place? You cost the company a lot of money with
your stupidity and lack of skill.
