Got a mercruiser alpha gen II outdrive that the bearing going into the
outdrive (not the hub) gets hot, also has faint scraping noise. Anyone know
the average cost of repair? I'm going to remove the outdrive and carry into
the service center.

Also, the cost to weld the typical hole that bleeds air in to the water
intake on Mercruiser outdrives above 35 MPH causing overheat and a new skeg
(previous owner ground it off )
