Wonder if any GRP experts on the forum, could make some suggestions as
to the best way to join together 2 mouldings, which when bonded will
form a 50 litre watertank?

There is a 10mm wide flange on each of the mouldings, and clamping
them together would be no problem. Have already had epoxy suggested,
and also polyester resin with colliodal silica to thicken it.

Many thanks for any advice, would be nice to hear what any GRP experts
might have to say on this one.

Epoxy should be your choice, Thicken it with micro-fibers or make your
own from (very) finely chopped glass. The thickener is a MUST that is
what makes it a glue. Epoxies and resins have no tensile strength by
themselves.
