Sound like a fuel problem. It has enough in the carbs to start and then the
rpm picks up as it leans out until it runs out of gas. If it' won't start
right away but will after it sits for a few minutes that would tend to
confirm it.

Trying to solve a problem from the end of last season. I've got a 91
Johnny 30. Cranks easy, runs up high RPM really fast. Dies.
Any ideas? The weather is getting nice(NC), got the itch.
Thanks
