I have nothing against the LasDrop - it's been flawless in 10 years of
service. But the problem with both the LasDrop AND the PSS is that if the
engine
is missing, there's nothing to hold the two plates together, the shaft moves
up,

Never thought of that. If somebody removes the engine while you're underway, it
could be catastrophic! :-)
