Don't miss the chance to take you children with you sailing as soon as
you can after they are born. As on land you must first think of their
safety and make accomdations. You don't leave them unattended on land,
you don't leave them unattended on the boat.

Mine were a little older. They were both born in the late fall so did
not get on the boat until the following spring. They are in thier
thirties now and would still sail with me if they did not live 700 miles
away.

I have thirty years of memories of the fun we had on the boat and
camping. Leave them with the grandparents or with a baby sitter if you
want the grandparents and baby sitter to have the enjoyment of their
company while they are learning about thier world.

We're due in June and would like to hear from people who have experience
sailing with a 0-4 month old. Pros, cons, advice and warnings as well as any
product suggestions to purchase are greatly appreciated. We have had
fabulous feedback from our vessel-specific forum and wanted to tap the
veterans here as well.

(Please no stories about how your son started sailing with you at age 6.
Infants only please!)

Thanks so much,
