That's good. A lot of boats won't get through irons under jib alone.
It's very good to have practiced this kind of sailing.

About the furry crew- don't worry. Relax, let the dog get comfortable on
the boat... it might be a good idea to simply spend time aboard at the
dock. Dogs are very perceptive and if you're worried, they will get upset.

We got lucky with our current dog. He jumps on & off the boat, seems to
consider it "just like home." Great companions.
