Real sailboats have all external lines. The in-mast and in-boom lines
are an invitation to disaster as are roll-up sails.
Real sailors don't add to their vessels complicated systems that are bound
to fail at the very worst of times. Racers do that crap because they think
they gain a couple hundredths of a second advantage because of less
windage but real sailors always opt for reliability and simplicity over
fluff like some bogus, around the buoys race victory that is all skewed
to hell by handicaps in the first place.
