Bush Approval Drops Amid Souring Economic Views
President George W. Bush's approval rating has dropped sharply, and
is
now at 45%, according to the latest CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll. This
is
the lowest such rating (by one point) that Bush has received since
taking office, and seven points lower than the rating he received in
Gallup's three previous surveys. The poll also shows an increasingly
negative public mood about the country's direction and more
specifically
about the economy. Rising oil and gas prices appear to be a major
factor
in the lower economic ratings.

You can't fool all the people all the time, eh?
People are FINALLY using their brains instead of their political bent,
and seeing Bush for what he really is, a lying, manipulative, egotist
who only cares about the bottom line of the big industries that he's in
bed with.
This poll shows it close to a 50-50 split.

But a downturn is expected during a war that is unpopular to many.
In January 1998 Clinton had similar numbers despite the fact that there was
no war going on. . Throw in a war and his numbers would most likely have
been lower than those now reported for Bush.
My bottom line is that I only care what I think. I could care less what
other folks think.
