Exactly... "from who"? You should count your blessings every day we
are here to protect those who cannot or will not protect themselves.

Uhhh, that would include you.

A man went to the public swimming pool.
Before he could go swimming, he was fingerprinted and required to fill out

a
registration card. When he asked why, he was told "So we know who you are

and
where to send the body if you get eaten by any of the sharks in the pool"

The swimmer was perturbed, but proceeded to the locker room to change into

his
trunks.

In the locker room, he was charged $175 to rent a locker. When he

protested the
amount of the fee, he was told that the money was needed to hire the

guards
required to keep sharks out of the pool.

$175 lighter, the swimmer proceeded to the pool only to discover that it

was
only half-filled with water. It was difficult to get into the pool due to

the
phalanx of armed guards surrounding it. He was told the shallow fill was

to
make it easier to spot sharks, and that all the guards were necessary to

shoot
at any sharks that might appear.

The swimmer was finally annoyed. "This is the damn City Park Swimming

Pool!
There are *no* sharks in here!"

"Yes sir, merely additional proof that all of our anti-shark measures are
working. Oh, it's going to cost you another $175 to get your stuff *out*

of the
locker. We're sure you'll understand."

On the way back to the locker room, the hapless swimmer was bitten by a
rattlesnake hiding in the corner. Everybody was looking for sharks- nobody
thought to look for snakes.

What prompted all the security against the sharks? Had there been a massive
shark attack in that pool before? Had other sharks threatened to enter the
same pool? Did we catch sharks that had entered the pool, but detained them
before they did some damage? Were the sharks sent to the pool by other
countries?
