Heading to Utah for some spring warmth in mid April. Hope to do some
white water boating between Peoa, (just outside of Park City on the
Weber), and Moab. Online research has pointed to both the Colorado and
Green river dailys and the Weber. Last year did a great flat water run
on the Green with the kids through Labyrinth canyon. This year an
adult trip with playboats.
I wonder if that river that runs through Price goes and at what levels
and difficulty. Tried to get a guide book from Amazon, delivery date
kept getting pushed back to the point where it wouldn't get here until
way after the trip, (on an aside I did find Walt Dischner's "Travels
with Kayak" there.)
Two boaters: OC1, one a second year boater w/o a reliable roll who is
willing to shuttle bunny stuff over class III- if the scenery is good.
I'm ok but get a little sketched running anything over III+ solo.
So I'm looking for suggestions: rivers, putins where it's likely to be
able to hook up with other boaters, boating shops where I might find a
guide book, killer camping spots, great eats and bars, etc.
